Biggest retards I've encountered were in my guild themselves. They joined yesterday, and while I encourage socialnessnessness within I don't appreciate the new members automaticaly spamming Guild chat with obsene words and on people they met 5 minutes ago. Sure we screw around and whatnot but at least get to know the people before you start cussing them out and then say "jk jk, were all friends" KICKED

"Beat Back Moustique" is the culprit. I run them from Ascalon city to Lions Arch, telling him the fee is 1.5k He says ok, thats a nice deal. We arrive.....he doesnt pay...doesnt move.....doesnt do anything. I wait, for 1 hour and a half, no movement. I get peeved, leave. I log on 2 hours later, he's still AFK.
I wonder....legit AFK, or Scam?
I see him online next day and ask for my money, he says he's busy in gvg and will pay later. 2 horus pass, i ask again, no reply. 15 mins after that he is offline.
Later that day I log in, he's online, I ask for my money, I always ask politely. He suddenly goes offline, I ask a guildie to buddy list him, tell me if he's online. He is...so he put me on his ignore list to avoid a 1.5k running fee, after I spend most of a night running him places.

How sad is it to scam somone for 1.5k Well. hey not like Im gunna have a cry, but since I dislike cheapskates and retards, he's since been reported to Anet, and I documented everything.

Well... easiest way to get every single Jerk in a district flaming you down is to grab your Monk Character and go afk for about 10 Minutes. I did this in Thunderhead Keep but not out of purpose. Phone can be annoying at times. Anyways, after a short time i came back and was like

"wtf"

Seeing 4 Group Invites and out of every single one of those groups atleast two persons did spam me with insults and swears because i would not join their team. And after i rejected every single one of those invites the whole nonsense kept on going in Local Chat... stating some random Bullshit about me being a moron and that <insert red engine censorship> monks should die and stuff like that.

Geeez, seriously... do they really expect people to go like "yep i'd like to party with you!" after a screen full of "U Sutipid Mother<insert red engine censorship>z0r. U is teh moron dumb<insert red engine censorship>" and stuff like? Yeah... sure thing... cough, cough.

You know, this story got me thinking about stereotypical male and female reactions.

The typical male reaction would have been to just leave... but your reaction was to use your Rez as a tool to get the guy to change his behavior (sort of).

The second guild I was in, one officer tried to boss people around. It was a big guild, and we did a lot of GvG, so we would constantly be asking for people over guild chat to meet us in guild hall to make teams.

This one kid, and I say kid because he was in fact 12-13 years old, was always sucking up to the guild leader. He was one of those guys that absolutely sucks in PvP, but thinks he knows everything. Just a ton of bad experiences with this guy.

So I have this build with 3 superior monk runes; Energy Drain, Divine Spirit, zealots, smitehex, guardian, mend ailment, reversal, DivineBoon/ProtectiveSpirit 12+3 divine 8+3 protection 8+4 smiting 7 inspiration and a Yakslapper.

I call it the "Is the other monk doing anything" build because thats what retarded 16healing 13divine monks ask me all the time once they ran out of energy.
Jeah, just around 50-100 damage, protection AND healing per second at the same time.

I had completed the game, and since I'm a perfectionist, was working on completing some bonuses, turns out I didn't do the Ice Caves bonus, so I went there to see what kind of group I could get... Well European servers.. .always being empty, there was one group... and that's the one I got. -_-

Things were going great, until the Ranger ran ahead and got himself killed by Mursaat... I said 'Wtf, are you doing mate?', he replied by saying 'LOL, Oops, res please'. The monk went over to res him... and attracted attention of the Mursaat which killed the Ranger... I said 'Do you know what an Agro circle is :O' and the Monk said 'What?'... Yeah, I was in your average pickup group. Our W/MO used Rebirth on the Monk and the monk ressed the Ranger. We went on our merry little way until we got to the catapault part. I was calling out targets, and I switched to use 'Throw dirt' on some Summit attacking our monk (i'm a Ranger btw). The other Ranger screamed out at me saying 'OMG, YOU'RE NOT EVEN ATTACKING THE CALLED TARGET!' (because I kept stressing to everyone to attack the targets I called earlier). I told him I was using status effects to help the monk, he replied in a 'Yeah, sure...'. I said 'Do you even know how to play a Ranger?' and he said 'Wtf, you're a noob, go back to Ascalon.' I sarcastically replied by saying 'I JUST GOT MY 15K ARMOUR AND NOW I'M LOST!11 WHEREZ ASCALON?!'. Things cooled down for a while, and we shook hands, and both shruged it off, or so I thought... We got to the end, and we agreed to try the bonus... despite my warnings against the Mursaat -_-;. We fought one group, and barely won, ressed and moved on. Then the Ranger ran ahead and set up a trap, in the process he agroed a group of Mursaat and some White Mantle. The monk ran ahead to try and save him... and our Warriors did the usual.... stupid suicide warrior stuff... I just sat back and watched, not wanting to get into the fray, knowing what the outcome would be. After they all reached their inevitable deaths, the Ranger screamed 'OMG YOU NOOB, WHY DIDN'T YOU HELP US?! DUDE U SUCK, I HATE YOU, U SUCK, GO TO HELL' I explained to him about the situation and before I could finish he left.... and so did our monk, and one of our warriors...I helped the other two remainers finish the mission, because we were practically done (the way to the end was clear). Afterwards I got a PM saying some curse words, and such.. I can't remeber really. But when I sent a reply it said he was Ignoring me... I shruged it off and went to bed... Havn't thought about it since... until I read this thread..

Nice story. Don't know if I would call those guys jerks, just your typical players that haven't learned a lot of basics of game play and haven't learned how to play their characters correctly. I and a good friend play together a lot with several other friends (I play ranger or mesmer mostly) and the others recently made the observation that I and my friend always seem to be the last ones alive when the team gets in trouble. Is it because we don't fight enough and don't help out enough? No, its because we keep an overview of the situation and when it becomes obvious that we are in trouble we move to the outskirts of the battle (and fight from there), and when it becomes obvious that we can't win, we retreat. We both are 2nd profession monks and have res with us. We have rescued a lot of FOW and mission trips this way. If people like that ranger you encountered can't understand that, then they are just not very smart players.

Wow, my monk character finally made it to the desert, and now I get to enjoy this "seen from the other side". When we (my friend and I) play GW we take lots of breaks, but rarely log out, we just set our character to dance and set ourselves to "away". Anyone PM'ing us gets that away warning.

So yesterday I came at Thirsty to see in the local chat a whole bunch of players begging me to join their group. Didn't see any nasty comments, but then I didn't scroll up to look, either.

What are people thinking? Just because I play a monk doesn't mean I am obligated to join a party instead of standing around a town.

The biggest jerk to date is me - by a mile.

I've known about the scam for months - the old 'fast trading game' scam - and I fell for it on Wednesday. What the hell was I thinking? I lost my Sup Healing Rune to some scumbag - and of course he wouldn't give it back. I knew as soon as I hovered over the accept button what was happening, but it obviously took longer for my brain to engage.

I know it's my own stupid fault, but there are some 'real jerks' in this game. I'd love to publish his handle, but I know it's against forum rules. Still, he is in my 'friends' list for good now, and I'll make sure I stay on his ignore list as a reminder of what a total ---- he is.

Greatest Jerk I've ever met is a N/Me. I was trying to do Dunes of Despair with my Mo/W and once I was invited into a group, I decided it was a fairly balanced team. I tell them all that I am a Smiter and we enter the mission. Everything goes perfectly until the last 2 minutes of the Hero's counter.

Everyone is nearly dead, but I can't do anything about it because I only brought Heal Area to heal the ghost with. Last man drops, and the N/Me screams at me saying Rezz, Rezz, Rezz! I haven't brought any Resurrection Spells, because I believed that other people had them.

Needless to say, we don't get the mission. Afterwards, the N/Me asks me why I didn't Resurrect people, to which I responded by saying that because I told you I was a Smiter, I would have thought that you would have been smart enough to bring your own Signets along. She begins to flame.

I left.

Got bored playing MK:Shaolin Monks so I decided to play with
my Guild Wars: Healing Monk.

Was going town to town looking for little Halloween Easter Eggs
and got a tell from out of the blue in Droknars Forge.

<perv>: I gently take the ribbon out of your hair.
<me>: ???
<perv>: I let my hand slowly but gently brush against your heaving chest
as I toss the ribbon to the side
<me>: ....ok, how do you even know I'm a girl? You could be cybering a guy.

He then took it to Local Chat, and people proceeded to call him a child
